Ridge
Two stacks at different heights on one long plate, with closed forms stepping down and away in the gap between them. A cube in each stack is turned onto its corner, so the vertical line breaks, hesitates and resumes — that single tilt does the work of an entire additional piece. The composition reads the way a ridge does from a distance — a rhythm of silhouettes against nothing, where the gaps carry as much as the forms. Against a long blank wall it sets a level, and the emptiness above it stops feeling unfinished and starts feeling deliberate. Built for the places height is not on offer: behind seating, along a passage, under a low ceiling.
Finish: Matte black on the closed forms. Brushed and light-catching on the open frames and the plate. Corner-balanced forms are braced internally and the joint stays hidden.
