Wide Awake : Artwork 1

A sun disc centred within a wide rectangular field, its rays cut in straight lines that fan across the full width, interrupted below by undulating wave forms. The composition uses bilateral symmetry broken only by the organic rhythm of the waves — a deliberate tension between order and natural motion. The rising sun over water is a threshold symbol that crosses almost every major culture: renewal, direction, the start of something. In design terms it is one of the most compositionally resolved pieces in this collection — nothing is wasted, every element is load-bearing. For a home office wall, a corridor end, or any east-facing room where the piece amplifies the architectural intention of the space.
