Body in Motion : Artwork 6

A contemporary dancer mid-step within a double portrait frame — the two frames offset from each other so the figure breaks through both, arms and body extending beyond the inner boundary into the outer one. A lotus and scattered botanical detail gather at the waist, the only point of stillness in an otherwise kinetic composition. The offset frame is the defining structural choice: it refuses to contain the figure, which is the point. In somatic philosophy, the body in genuine movement cannot be held within prescribed boundaries — form and frame are always in negotiation. The piece works in a stairwell, a double-height wall, or any vertical space where the architecture itself already implies movement.
