Wild & Rooted : Artwork 3

A single botanical branch with paired ovate leaves, mounted directly against the wall with no frame — the branch stands as object, the wall becomes ground. The open composition maximises figure-ground clarity: nothing competes, nothing distracts. The olive branch has carried the meaning of peace since ancient Greek mythology (Athena's gift to Athens) and runs through Abrahamic tradition as one of the most recognised symbols in the world. What makes this piece work is exactly its restraint — one form, fully resolved. It functions in any room as a considered accent that signals something about the person who chose it.
