A Muqarnas half-dome rendered as a flat field — the same geometry that forms the vaulted entrance ceiling of the Alhambra's Hall of the Abencerrajes, where hundreds of individual stalactite cells lock together into a composition that reads simultaneously as structural and as pure light-dissolving pattern. The upper edge follows the arch form; the lower edge is the ragged boundary where the dome would transition into the wall surface. What looks like a crown from a distance resolves into individual geometric cells up close, each one casting its own small shadow.
